Regenerative Medicine Treatments in kansas city

The most researched and effective regenerative medicine treatments in Kansas City include:

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

In addition to red and white blood cells, blood contains platelets that are rich in growth factors. In an outpatient clinic setting, blood is drawn from a patient, concentrated, and injected back into the patient’s body at the site of tissue damage. The high concentration of growth factors allows damaged tissues to heal themselves, restoring tissue architecture and strength.

Stem Cell (Bone Marrow Concentrate or BMC)

Bone marrow contains an abundant reservoir of Stem Cells that can replicate themselves into various types of tissue, including tendons and cartilage. Through a minimally invasive method, the Stem Cells are drawn from the patient and concentrated, resulting in a concentrate that is up to 33 times richer in cells and growth factors. Dr. Khadavi will then inject the concentrated cells into the joint, tendon, or ligament to accelerate the body’s natural healing mechanisms and provide robust healing and repair.

Outpatient Process

Both PRP and Stem Cell (BMC) treatments are performed at Dr. Khadavi’s clinic. The procedures are complete with minimal discomfort, and many patients report feeling no pain. While most patients spend around 45 minutes in the clinic for PRP and 90 minutes for Stem Cell (BMC), the majority of this time is spent in the preparation and centrifugation process.

Recovery and Outcomes of regenerative medicine in kansas city

In many cases, PRP and Stem Cell (BMC) treatments provide a permanent cure to the injured tissue. In other instances, the treatments provide several years of pain relief. Dr. Khadavi will discuss your expected outcome with you, based on your specific diagnosis and personal goals.

Most patients return to normal, daily activities the same as the treatment. Because these treatments use your own cells and natural growth capabilities, the pain relief typically begins around 4-8 weeks after treatment.

Clinic Expertise

The truth is, not all regenerative medicine programs are created equal. Education, training, experience, and integrity differ in every practice and greatly impact the quality of outcomes in care.

Dr. Khadavi has been at the forefront of regenerative medicine over the last 10 years. He is a regular teacher and director for various Stem Cell and Ultrasound courses around the country.

Not every patient is a candidate for Stem Cell and PRP. Dr. Khadavi will provide you with an accurate and honest prediction of success with these treatments.

Comprehensive Orthopedic Evaluations

A regenerative medicine program as one division of a comprehensive orthopedic practice reduces the risk of bias toward unnecessary or ineffective regenerative procedures.

KCOA is a complete orthopedic center, committed to determining the most effective consideration of all treatment options, from conservative therapies to injections or surgery. This targeted and customized plan leads to optimal outcomes without unnecessary procedures and cost.

Precision Techniques

At KCOA, musculoskeletal ultrasound is the foundation of all regenerative treatments, allowing for the highest levels of precision and safety. Dr. Khadavi has over a decade of experience as a clinician and educator in musculoskeletal ultrasound.

He is the only regenerative medicine physician in Kansas City who holds both an RMSK Certification and is a national educator in both Regenerative Medicine and Ultrasound.
