Dr. Brit Moore is a board certified physical medicine & rehabilitation physician with subspecialty training in sports medicine & musculoskeletal ultrasound. She sees a variety of conditions from acute injuries while at play to chronic overuse injuries. She specializes in nonoperative management of upper and lower extremity tendon, ligament, muscle, joint, and nerve injuries, as well as evaluation and management of spine pain and concussions. She is trained in performing electrodiagnostics (i.e. EMG and nerve conduction studies) for evaluation of nerve conditions. She is fellowship trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound, utilizing this for both diagnostic evaluative purposes and to guide procedures. Procedures Dr. Moore performs range from simple joint and peritendinous injections, to orthobiologic injections like platelet rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate, to advanced minimally invasive procedures like Tenex and carpal tunnel release with ultrasound guidance.
After completing her residency and fellowship training at Mayo Clinic, she was recruited to stay on staff at Mayo Clinic before coming back home to Kansas City to continue her practice at Apex Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. She was shaped by the multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment at Mayo Clinic, bringing the cutting edge pursuit of knowledge and technique learned at Mayo coupled with a passion to advance care to her hometown of Kansas City, a perfect match with missions laid out by Apex.
Outside of work she enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and she’s always pursuing new fun athletic activities.
