Additional Information

My name is Lyndsey Augur and I work alongside Dr. Matthew Kneidel. I grew up in St. Louis, MO. I went to UMKC for college where I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. I then went on to receive my Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Lincoln Memorial University- Debusk School of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, which is a small town near the borders of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. It is a beautiful part of the country with lots of mountains to hike during study breaks. I did my clinical rotations throughout the country, from Connecticut all the way to Texas. It was a great way to travel and experience new things.

As a physician assistant (PA), I see patients in the clinic every day of the week as well as assist in surgery with Dr. Kneidel. My postoperative clinics are on Wednesdays and Fridays, so if you have surgery with Dr. Kneidel, you will see me on one of those days for your first 2 appointments. I will discuss what happened in surgery, the postoperative plan and answer any of your questions. I also see new patients, follow up patients, pre-operative H&P patients, and walk-in patients. If you need to stay overnight in the hospital, you will see me during your hospital stay. I also see patients for their bone health. I can order blood work to check your calcium, parathyroid, vitamin D, and more as well as order a bone density scan (DEXA) to evaluate for Osteoporosis. There are many treatment options for Osteoporosis, in which I will go over with you and get you on a treatment plan if needed.

Outside of work

Growing up in St. Louis, I am a huge Cardinals baseball and Blues Hockey fan. I am ecstatic that the Blues finally won the Stanley cup. I am usually sporting a St. Louis Cardinals badge holder, so if you see it, then that’s me!

I met my husband at First Fridays in the Crossroads district in an art gallery. My first word to him was “duh” and the rest is history. My husband and I love to travel, especially to other countries. He proposed to me on our Italy/France trip in front of the Eiffel Tower. We went to Greece on our honeymoon. I also just had a baby girl in July 2019 and she is perfect! I was working in clinic and assisting in surgery while in labor and got to the hospital just in time to have her! It was a very eventful day. My husband and I love to play tennis and try new restaurants, so if you have a favorite restaurant let me know and we will put it on our list to try!
