Meet Dr. Scott Abraham. He joined Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in September 2009 and is grateful to be working alongside a team of compassionate and skilled physicians and surgeons.

 

Dr. Abraham practices general orthopedic surgery; however, in recent years, his primary focus of practice has been hip and knee replacement with a dedicated interest in robotic assisted knee replacement. Dr. Abraham is committed to improving long term outcomes for his patients with this technology.

A robotic-assisted knee replacement uses mapping technology to increase the precision and accuracy of the surgery. Keep in mind that robotics assist the surgery; robots are not actually performing the surgery.

More About Dr. Abraham 

 

Dr. Abraham grew up in Wichita, Kansas. He obtained his undergraduate degree from York College in York, Nebraska. He played 4 years of college basketball for the York College Panthers. After graduation from York, he attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where his love for orthopedic surgery began. He was fortunate to complete his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee – Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received excellent training in all aspects of orthopedics.
He joined Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in September 2009 and is grateful to be working alongside a team of compassionate and skilled physicians and surgeons. Dr. Abraham practices general orthopedic surgery; however, in recent years, his primary focus of practice has been hip and knee replacement with a dedicated interest in robotic assisted knee replacement.  Dr. Abraham is committed to improving long term outcomes for his patients with this technology.

Outside of Work

When he is not helping his patients, Dr. Abraham enjoys being involved in his children’s lives and traveling with his wife. He helps coach soccer and basketball teams and plays Kidz Bop on his radio. He and his wife have served as foster parents for over 5 years and stay very humble through helping others in tough situations. He and his family involve themselves in their church community and enjoy hosting a life group in their home. Dr. Abraham enjoys going to Colorado as often as possible for snow skiing, hiking, and taking in the grandeur of God.
